WSRA trustees are lacing up their running shoes for a backwards charity challenge, bringing plenty of laughs and fundraising fun to the speedway track.

Some familiar WSRA faces are swapping their usual duties for running shoes—with a rather unusual twist.
Trustees Bert Harkins, Graham Brodie and Peter Schroeck will take on a charity challenge to run laps of a speedway track entirely backwards. At approximately 300 metres per lap around the inside line, it promises to put their coordination, stamina and sense of humour to the test!
With no engines to help them along, the trio will be relying on determination and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines. Expect friendly rivalry, plenty of laughs and a slightly different approach to the first bend.
The challenge will raise money for a good cause and bring the speedway community together for an entertaining day of fundraising.
Details of the venue, date and how to sponsor our backwards-running trustees will follow. Watch this space—we’re looking forward to it, even if they won’t be!
