National Speedway Museum

National Speedway Museum at Hertfordshire Zoo (formerly Paradise Wildlife Park) opened in 2007. The project was spearheaded by Peter Sampson and former rider Terry Stone to showcase memorabilia donated by the sport’s stars.

The home of speedway history

It is the home of speedway history which has been in the UK since 19th February 1928.

It brings back the nostalgia of the sport with a selection of vintage bikes, race jackets, trophies and memorabilia donated/loaned by many of the sport’s biggest names.

Currently in the process of being modernised to include exhibitions from the modern era and celebrating 100 years of Speedway in 1928.

Why not discover the bikes, trophies and stories behind our sport as a member of our registered charity where the Museum & Hertfordshire Zoo is included in your membership.
